YESIP Event

26 Tetor, 2012 Rajonale dhe Ndërkombtare

YouthAction NI Young Men & Violence Project recently participated in a high-level dissemination event organised by YESIP Peace 3 partnership at Lagan Valley Island, Lisburn.

Ciaran Connolly & Paudie Donnelly spoke about the work they had been delivering in South Armagh. They showed the large audience the “Aiming High – One Year On” DVD and all who came along received copies of the Peace Resources developed by the organization.

Members of the Youth Arts Company Group put on the first performance of “Last Man Standing”, a performance about how young men make decisions when faced with peer pressure, stress and the opportunity of risk-taking behaviour. The play invites audience members to engage in compelling situations faced by young men today. The cast then shared their experiences of being involved in a question and answer discussion with members of the audience.
