In cooperation of “Be a man” club Temerin and the local Center for social work, on Tuesday 25th September, organized a panel discussion where the main topic was “Violence against women in our society.”
On the panel were representatives and a representative of the Center for Social Work, Sandra Kovačević Tasovac and Danijel Hajduk and pedagogue Stojanka Janoši Zeljković from the elementary school “Slavko Rodić”.
Every 25th day of the month is marked as orange day in which way it symbolizes stopping violence against women. The first orange day was 25th July 2012. at the initiative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations.
This day will be marked every month until 57th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women in Society, which will happen in March 2013th The goal is to raise awareness about violence against women, and not just to point this issue in society once a year (November 25th).
