The Regional Youth Leadership Camp, held at Sunčana Reka, has been successfully concluded! Over the course of five intensive days, more than 60 young leaders from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and North Macedonia had the opportunity to develop leadership skills, learn about mental health, boost their self-confidence, and build friendships that will last beyond the camp.

The camp was organized as part of the “Future for Youth” project, implemented by CARE Balkans in cooperation with Center E8 (Belgrade), Perpetuum Mobile (Banja Luka), IPD (Sarajevo), and CRPM (North Macedonia), with support from the Marie Eberth Foundation.

Participants were carefully selected based on their demonstrated leadership potential and engagement in schools, local communities, and youth club activities. The educational program covered topics such as:

  • The role of leadership in everyday life
  • The difference between power, influence, and authority
  • Public speaking and effective communication skills
  • Teamwork through teambuilding activities
  • Mental health care and challenges in peer-to-peer work

Workshops were led by peer educators from partner organizations, who had undergone special training to deliver knowledge in an inspiring and interactive way.

The camp also served as a platform for intercultural exchange, broadening perspectives, and forming new friendships among youth from across the region.
