During May, the staff of ACT for Society Center continued the implementation of the Program Y in Skënderbeu High School, in Krujë and also held meetings of the Be a Man Club with the young men and women of the High School.
The implementation of the Young Men Initiative is achieved through UNFPA’s support to scale up Program Y in schools. Although the activities with these young men and women have started after the state of pandemic and no face-to-face activity has been organised with them, they are very active in meetings and do not make any absences!
This month through online meetings it was discussed about violence. Together with members, AfS was able to identify three types of violence, their categorization (victim-abuser) and to further talk about the violence that prevails in the community where we live. It is important for young people to be aware and to be the change in a future without violence.
The activity is implemented by ACT for Society Center within the framework of the Young Men Initiative II – The Men and Boys as Partners in Promoting Gender Equality and prevention of Youth Extremism and Violence in the Balkans project, supported by CARE International Balkans, Austrian Development Cooperation and Oak Foundation.
