During the past month, the association Okret/Spin Mostar signed memoranda of understanding with seven educational institutions from Herzegovina:
Through these agreements, cooperation within the framework of the “Future 4 Youth” project has been formalized. The project is implemented by the OKRET/SPIN Mostar association in partnership with CARE Balkans, with the support of the Marie Eberth Stiftung Foundation. It is carried out in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, aiming to support over 6,000 young people in developing life skills, building healthy relationships, and actively contributing to their communities.
The program covers topics such as violence prevention, gender equality, prevention of drug, alcohol, and psychoactive substance abuse, as well as the promotion of healthy lifestyles among young people.
Through interactive workshops and school activities, students, teachers, and educators will learn together how to recognize and prevent risky behaviors, as well as how to develop empathy, communication skills, and responsible decision-making.
The project activities are based on the revised Program Y curriculum, a recognized model for youth life skills development, which promotes non-violent behavior, gender equality, and a healthy lifestyle. Through the workshops, students will have the opportunity to actively participate in discussions, teamwork, and the planning of school and community activities.
The signing of the memoranda represents an important step toward strengthening cooperation between educational institutions and civil society organizations. These partnerships contribute to creating a safe and supportive school environment where young people can develop their potential, embrace healthy values, and actively contribute to positive changes in the community.
This activity was carried out as part of the Future4Youth project, implemented by Spin in cooperation with CARE Balkans and funded by the Marie Eberth Stiftung Foundation.
