Youth clubs and school workshops for better health, environmental protection and peaceful and non-violent coexistence

September 17, 2025 Projects

The project aims to empower 6,000 young people in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina to lead healthy lifestyles, develop critical life skills, build positive relationships, and actively contribute to their communities while promoting gender equality, violence prevention, and environmental sustainability.

The project builds on the established life skills Program Y, updating it to address emerging youth needs such as mental health, digital safety, and sustainable development. CARE and partners will implement interactive workshops in schools and community settings, engaging both students and teachers through participatory and peer-to-peer learning. Youth Clubs in Belgrade, Sarajevo, and Mostar will serve as safe spaces for open dialogue, skill-building, and youth-led community campaigns. Through these workshops and clubs, young people will apply their learning in practical projects that address social and environmental challenges, fostering leadership, critical thinking, and civic engagement. The program also emphasizes long-term impact by aligning with national education priorities and promoting sustainable, inclusive practices in communities.

What the Project Specifically Will Do:

  • Adapt Program Y – integrating topics like mental health, online safety, and environmental awareness.
  • Conduct educational workshops in high schools to equip students and teachers with essential life skills.
  • Establish Youth Clubs in regional centers as safe spaces for youth-led projects and community campaigns promoting equality, health, and sustainability.
