SIT – Center for Counseling, Social Services and Research in cooperation with YMCA in Kosovo and CARE International Balkans organized the third meeting with the working group (key stakeholders) of Kosovo for the Institutionalization of Program Y.

Key topics that SIT presented to MESTI – Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Municipal Directorate of Education, Agency for Gender Equality also representatives from Professional High Schools in Prishtina, were:

  • This year’s achievements of “Future4Youth”
  • Strategy for the Institutionalization of the Program Y in pre-university education in Kosovo
  • Sustainability of strategy and the next steps for the Institutionalization of the Program Y.

As a result of the meeting, two main recommendations were proposed. Firstly, participants urged for higher inclusion for schools located in the suburb areas of the capital city. Additionally, Ministry of Education suggested that a detailed review of the strategy should be conducted by the representatives of MESTI, specifically representatives within the Vocational/Professional Education office.

The Ministry of Education supports Program Y and its goals, topics that Program Y includes and the next steps until the Institutionalization of the Program Y. Other meetings are expected to be held by the beginning of next year.
