The Ministry of Family, Youth and Sports of the Republic of Srpska implemented the campaign “Be different, block hate” with the aim of protecting children and young people on the internet and reducing hate speech and cyber violence, which has been on the rise in recent years and has lasting consequences on the life and health of young people.
The Institute Perpetuum Mobile is recognized as an adequate and strategic partner considering its many years of experience and results ed through implementation of Young Men Initiative project coordinated by CARE International Balkans. During the end of the campaign, Ilija Trninić, executive director of the Institute Perpetuum mobile, took part in the panel discussion where he spoke about his experiences in working with young people and presented Program Y as a resource for working with young men and women on the prevention of various forms of violence and the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
One of the conclusions is to use the existing developed educational packages for the education of young people in order to reduce hate speech and thus prevent violence between young people and discrimination of any form.
The campaign had a strong resonance and reach among the youth, and was supported by representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Srpska, influencers, psychologists, organizations and members of civil society.
