July 16, 2021 News

On July 14, 2021, in the premises of the Association “Zemlja djece u BiH” (Land of Children in BiH), a meeting was held on the occasion of the continuation of the three-year project “Young Men Initiative III”.

Young men and women, members of the Be a Man Club, had the opportunity to talk with representatives of the Swiss Government in BiH, CARE International and the Institute for Youth and Community Development “Perpetuum mobile” from Banja Luka about previous experiences and results achieved within the project and the continuation of cooperation and joint plans for the next period.

After the joint meeting in the premises of the Association “Zemlja djece u BiH” (Land of Children in BiH), meetings were held with representatives of the Pedagogical Institute of Tuzla Canton and representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Tuzla Canton, headed by Minister Prof. Elvis Barković, PhD. At the meetings, the previous, very positive, results and achieved successes within the project were presented, and very useful and productive discussions were held on the modalities of continuing the cooperation in the next three-year period. Through an open discussion, we received very useful comments on the project activities and support for the continuation of the project, which is of great importance in the personal and social development of high school students with the common hope that epidemiological measures will enable smooth implementation of project activities in the future.

The activity was implemented within the project Young Men Initiative III (YMI): “Promoting Healthier Lifestyles and Decrease of Interpersonal Violence among Youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina by Challenging Gender Stereotypes III“, supported by the Swiss Government, Oak Foundation, Austrian Development Agency and CARE International Bosnia and Herzegovina.
