Long-term partner of CARE International Balkans, Mr. Ilija Trninić, founder and executive director of the Pereptuum mobile Institute Banja Luka, with whom we have been successfully cooperating since 2006 on projects promoting gender equality and healthier lifestyles of young men and women, was elected Deputy Chairman of the newly formed Advisory Body of the BiH Council of Ministers for Cooperation with Non-Governmental Organizations.
The Advisory Body is in charge of improving cooperation between the BiH Council of Ministers and NGOs, with the aim of creating a supportive legal, institutional and financial environment for the NGO sector.
The Advisory Body of the BiH Council of Ministers for Cooperation with Non-Governmental Organizations has seven members elected from among representatives of NGOs, academia, media and individuals with experience in creating, monitoring and implementing public policies relevant to creating a supportive legal, institutional and financial environment for NGOs in BiH.
This is a historic moment for civil society organizations in BiH, since such a body has not existed so far. We are convinced that the work of this body will raise the cooperation between the government and non-governmental organizations to a higher and more efficient level, and that services and programs will be of better quality and more sustainable.
