On the occasion of the International Day of Families which is celebrated on 15 May and established by the UN, “Perpetuum mobile – Institute for Youth and Community Development” Banja Luka in cooperation with the Ministry of Family, Youth and Sports of the Republic of Srpska organized the roundtable on the topic “The active role of fathers in the development and preservation of a healthy family” on 13 May 2016.
Shortly before the event, representatives of the Ministry and Perpetuum mobile visited the maternity ward in Banja Luka, handed educational materials and other useful materials to the fathers of newborn children and invited them to training on active fatherhood. The roundtable was held at the Administrative Center of the Government of the Republic of Srpska. The experts in the field of family therapy, social psychology and research, and management of projects of work in the community and fatherhood spoke at this event. A special part of the presentation was dedicated to the presentation of the Program T – education program for fathers, as well as to a regional approach in working with fathers.
Representatives of ministries and other government institutions, NGO sector and associations working in the field of motherhood, maternal education, children with disabilities also took part in the discussion.
Shortly before the event, Ministry of Family, Youth and Sports has awarded the organization “Perpetuum mobile – Institute for Youth and Community Development” a Letter of Thanks and recognition for the work and joint engagement in this issue!
