With the financial support of Care International Balkans and OAK Foundation, partner organization Youth Educational Club Synergy from Kosovska Mitrovica, held educational training for 19 girls and 17 boys in the period from 30th October – 1st November 2015 on Kopaonik mountain.
The following topics were addressed during the training – gender equality, violence prevention, promoting healthier lifestyles and sexual and reproductive health. All activities were accompanied by active participation of all participants, with many questions, but also laughter, fun and companionship. In their free time participants explored the beauty of Kopaonik mountain, and karaoke party was organized during the second evening of the training.
The implementation of the training was supported by parents of all participants, as well as by school principals who allowed participants to be absent from classes. We believe that the new members of Synergy will share the knowledge they gained with their peers and be real role models of behavior.
