CARE International Balkans organized with its partners a 5-day youth leadership camp from the 20th – 24th of July as part of the Promoting Healthier Lifestyles among Youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
CARE International Balkans organised with its partners Perpetuum Mobile (Banja Luka), Youth Power (Mostar) and Association XY (Sarajevo) a 5 day youth leadership camp from the 20th – 24th of July as part of the Promoting Healthier Lifestyles among Youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina by Challenging Gender Stereotypes project supported by Swiss Development Cooperation, OAK Foundation and Austrian Development Agency. Close to 50 Youth from Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Mostar, Jablanicaand Visoko participated in workshops connected to youth leadership.
These young leaders are active in there local Be a Man clubs that work to promote gender equality, healthy lifestyles and the prevention of violence. These new skills will help them to continue their work in their clubs. In addition to workshops, there was team-building activities and free time to get to know one another. All of the staff, trainers, peer leaders and youth worked hard this week. New friendships were made and next steps planned to continue this work at different communities throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.
