With the arrival of summer, even the quarantine measures came to be reduced, giving more opportunities for young people to gather and meet each other.
In the offices of ACT for SOCETY, meetings with the youth of the club was continued by organizing fun meetings, where young people had the opportunity to play various games and spend the hot summer days, but also informational meetings and different workshops.
One of the most mentioned topics during this month has been the chain of stereotypes – prejudices – discrimination. Young people have discussed concrete examples of these cases in their lives, also analyzing the prejudices and stereotypes that we ourselves create and the impact they have on the community where we live.
The youngsters also discussed the long-awaited summer camp, the topics and games they want to develop during the days in the camp. They remember last year’s camp, and can’t wait to have fun and get informed again through camp activities.
The event was implemented by a partner organization within the Young Men Initiative II – Men and Boys as partners in promoting gender equality and preventing extremism and violence among young people in the Balkans, supported by CARE International in the Balkans, Austrian Development Agency and the Oak Foundation.
