Members of the Mostar Be a Man Club and volunteers of CARE International Balkans’ partner organization Youth Power organized a street action on the occasion of Valentine’s Day.
On the streets of Mostar, volunteers shared heart-shaped small chocolates, took photos with citizens, shared Polaroid photos and messages promoting the expression of emotions and love.
The action took place in the afternoon. Despite the heavy rain, the volunteers successfully completed the action and shared over 100 small chocolates and photos. They walked the streets of the city and talked to citizens, where they spread positive information about each other, which made people happy. The goal of the action was to share 100 small chocolates and photos and remind citizens that we should love each other regardless of our differences.
The activity was implemented within the project YMI – Young Men Initiative II: “Promoting Healthier Lifestyles among Youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina by Challenging Gender Stereotypes II”, supported by the Swiss Government, Oak Foundation, Austrian Development Agency and CARE International Balkans.
