The annual Youth Conference of the Association XY and partner organizations, activists and members of Be a Man Clubs from across Bosnia and Herzegovina sent a clear message:
We, the youth of the Federation of BiH, Republika Srpska and the Brcko District, need Life Skills Education that will help us to have healthier and better lives. Only when we are safe from violence and with healthy habits and equal opportunities, we can build a society where young people remain committed to the development of our local communities.
Seventy young activists, peer educators from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina gathered in Sarajevo for the annual Association XY Youth Conference to promote health and healthy lifestyles. The occasion of this year’s gathering is the exchange of experiences of young people from different cities of Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to further improve the quality of the peer education program of the Association XY.
The activity was implemented under the YMI – Young Men Initiative project: “Promoting Healthier Lifestyle among Young People in Bosnia and Herzegovina by Challenging Gender Stereotypes II” and the project: “Men and Boys as Partners in Promoting Gender Equality and Addressing Extremism and Youth Violence in the Western Balkans “, which is supported by the Government of Switzerland, the Oak Foundation, the Austrian Development Cooperation and CARE International Balkans.
