In December 2018, in cooperation with the Centre E8, Youth Office (KZM) Kruševac and Polytechnic school “Milutin Milanković”, and especially thanks to the excellent young people, this great mural that bears a clear message against violence was created.
In addition to the creative workshop, the preparation and multi-day creating of the mural, the “opening” of the mural was also organized, which attracted the attention of numerous media, and thus additionally contributed to the visibility of these important messages.
Also, “Be a Man” materials were distributed to the students and a workshop on gender roles was held. Creation of the mural and its sketches was developed as the idea of students of the Polytechnic school and academic painter Marija Ćirić with a clear message that violence is never a solution, and it followed the previously known visual identity of the “Be a Man” program and campaign.
This was another one of our activities during the 16 Days of Activism against Violence against Women, conducted within YMI – Young Men Initiative supported by CARE International Balkans, Austrian Development Cooperation and the OAK Foundation.
