Promotion of modern women and their achievements is the idea that young men and women from the Be a man club Mostar were led by when designing and implementing today’s action.
The goal of the action was to point out the achievements of girls and women from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Be a Man Club Mostar, which operates within the NGO ‘Youth Power’, carried out today an act of distribution of small boxes on the occasion of marking the International Women’s Day. The action that was carried out in the shopping mall ‘Mepas Mall’, in addition to highlighting the values and importance of women, tried to bring closure to the female and male citizens the ideology and work of this club founded in 2009.
The small boxes that have been distributed by young women and men contained a candy and a brief biography of women who make changes in Bosnia and Herzegovina today. 17 young women from across Bosnia and Herzegovina were promoted through this action: athletes, politicians, champions in hip-hop dance, etc.
Be a Man Club Mostar operates within the project “Young Men Initiative – Promoting Healthier Lifestyles among Youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina by Challenging Gender Stereotypes”. The project is supported by the Government of Switzerland and the OAK Foundation. The project is implemented with the support of CARE International Balkans and partner organizations: Youth Power from Mostar, Perpetuum Mobile from Banja Luka and Association XY from Sarajevo.
