CARE and its partners attended the strategic review meeting for the Young Men Initiative project, held on the island of Krk in Croatia.
The meeting was facilitated by Ms. Mary Pickard, PhD, international development consultant from Canada and co-facilited by Ms. Nikoleta Poljak, consultant from Croatia.
The aim of the meeting was to evaluate the working results of YMI project in the last 6 years to review achievements, gaps and next steps in the work with boys and men around gender equality. As a result of the meeting a publication will also be published, containing the results the program achieved working with young men in the Northwest Balkans region.
Besides CARE project staff and representatives of partner organizations from Belgrade, Banja Luka, Sarajevo, Mostar, Zagreb, Kosovska Mitrovica and Pritina, the meeting was also attended by numerous stakeholders: ministry representatives from all the countries involved (ministries in charge of youth, education and gender issues), representatives of CARE Austria and CARE USA, and the representative of Instituto Promundo, USA, Mr. Gary Barker, PhD.
